PLEN’s mission is to extend the variety of girls in prime leadership positions influencing all aspects of the general public coverage course of. This minor is meant to provide college students with a powerful theoretical, practical and applied understanding of management and the function that political and/or public actors can play within the public domain of both democratic and non-democratic states to achieve their coverage objectives, have an effect on optimistic social change and affect the coverage selections of governments.
Because political management has primarily been a male domain, arguably one of many last bastions of almost exclusive male energy, watching a woman carry out this role seems to draw important curiosity. When invited, PLI employees and allied consultants present leadership training workshops at conferences across the nation. We want leadership which has authentic conviction in regards to the potential for education as humanity’s best hope; and which can each assemble and talk a compelling case for change. The PLMIG facilitates sharing of ideas, experience, and resources to handle public leadership issues.
